Ke Ola Nui Program

Frequently Asked Questions

At ‘Ekahi Ornish Lifestyle Medicine, your journey to wellness doesn’t end when you graduate! Participants at ‘Ekahi form longstanding bonds with their cohort members; creating a support circle for life. But should you choose to come back, we offer a highly comprehensive Ke Ola Nui Program; featuring cooking demos, monthly activities, expanded classes, and more!

Ke Ola Nui courses are offered every Wednesday night from 5 to 8 PM, and Saturday morning from 6:30 to 9:30 AM. These sessions are taught by the same element specialists you’ll meet through your time at the Ornish Program, and are one hour for each element covered: Stress Management, Group Support, and Exercise. These sessions draw from the Ornish Program but explore innovative themes such as deep relaxation.

Once a month, our registered dietitians will host a 90 minute cooking demo where you’ll learn to prepare your own Ornish dishes at our very own kitchen: dishes such as personal pizzas, mung bean stew, jackfruit burgers, and more! These fun demos give you an opportunity to show off the skills you learned through the program, and to reconnect with your fellow alumni. Make these dishes at your next family get together for delicious & healthy fare!

Last but not least, check out our schedule for our Open Gym times. Open Gym gives our Ke Ola Nui Program members the ability to come in during non-peak hours and work out at their leisure. During Open Gym, members may also make use of the group support and stress management rooms.
